Debut Studios – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services and booking arrangements at Debut Studios, including but not limited to tattoos, piercings, permanent makeup (PMU), dermal fillers, skin treatments, manicures, masterclasses, and all other professional cosmetic services (“Treatments”). By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

1. Booking & Deposit

  1. All appointments require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. The deposit amount depends on the artist and/or treatment. The deposit will count toward the final price of your Treatment.

  2. You must provide your full name, valid email address, and a contact phone number at the time of booking.

  3. We may require your card details in our secure booking system to confirm and hold your reservation. No charges will be made to your card without prior notice, except in accordance with our cancellation and no-show policy.

  4. Appointments are only confirmed once the deposit has been received.

  5. Deposits are non-transferable between different treatments, artists or clients.

 

2. Age Restrictions

  1. You must be 18 or over to receive tattoos, dermal fillers, or permanent makeup. Proof of age (valid photo ID) may be required.

  2. Clients under 18 will be refused treatment, and deposits will be forfeited.

  3. For skin treatments, manicures, or other services, parental consent may be required for those under 18, subject to our discretion and legal requirements.

  4. For piercing treatments, the minimum age for primary ear lobes is 7 years old. All other body and ear piercings are subject to a strict minimum of 16 years old with parental consent, except nipples which are 18+. Debut Studios does not offer genital or intimate piercings.

 

3. Quotes, Pricing & Payment

  1. Quotes given for tattoo appointments are approximate, given with respect to the time anticipated to carry out the treatment. Actual time (and thus cost) may vary on the day of the appointment. Any additional time will be charged at the agreed hourly rate, or a suitable proportion of the agreed set price.

  2. All prices are subject to change without notice, however once a booking is confirmed with a deposit, that price will be honoured unless the scope of the work changes. This is at the complete discretion of the artist/Debut Studios.

 

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  1. If you wish to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible.

  2. A minimum of 7 calendar days is required to reschedule an appointment, retaining the original deposit.

  3. If an appointment is cancelled within this time frame, deposit is forefeited and a new deposit will be required to secure a new appointment date. There is no guarantee that a preferred booking date will be available.

  4. Only one reschedule is permitted per appointment without incurring further fees.

 

5. Gift Vouchers

  1. Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

  2. They expire six (6) months from the date of purchase.

  3. No change or cash back will be given if the voucher’s value is greater than the service or product redeemed for.

  4. Voucher must be presented at the time of booking, and physically shown at the appointment. Lost vouchers or failure to show proof of purchase may result in the voucher not being honoured.

 

6. Health, Safety & Consent

  1. Before all Treatments, clients must complete a consent form disclosing relevant medical history, allergies, and medications. Failure to do so may result in refusal or postponement of treatment.

  2. If you have any medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking medication that could affect the procedure, you must inform us in advance. It is the client’s responsibility to seek medical advice if in any doubt.

  3. All Treatment areas must be free from infection or open wounds. The client must not attend the appointment if they have any such condition; otherwise Debut Studios may refuse service.

  4. Depending on the treatment, patch tests may be required; we will advise when necessary. If a patch test shows a reaction, treatment will be refused or rescheduled.

  5. We do not permit the use of numbing creams or other substances unless supplied or approved by the studio. Failure to disclose use may result in cancellation without refund.

 

7. Hygiene, Conduct & Behaviour

  1. We will refuse service if a client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or presents in a manner considered unhygienic.

  2. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, artists, or other clients will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

 

8. Liabilities & Artist Status

  1. Artists, technicians, clinicians, and all other staff providing a service at Debut Studios are self-employed. Debut Studios Tattoo Limited accepts no responsibility for the acts, errors, or omissions of individuals beyond what is required by law.

  2. Whilst we take every reasonable care to minimise risks, Debut Studios is not liable for:

    • client negligence, failure to follow after-care instructions, or instructions given during consultation;

    • adverse reactions or complications caused by health conditions not disclosed by the client;

    • failure to disclose any medical condition, or if the client is pregnant or breastfeeding;

    • allergic reactions that occur even after patch testing (which may not identify all sensitivities);

    • loss or damage of personal belongings during appointments.

  3. The client is responsible for following the aftercare advice provided by Debut Studios and/or products provided, ensuring treatments are correctly looked after.

  4. Client consent forms constitute a legally binding disclosure of information from the client and absolve Debut Studios of any liability for the above mentioned.

 

9. Refusal & Cancellation by Us

  1. Debut Studios reserves the right to refuse service, move, or cancel any appointment at its discretion, including but not limited to for reasons of ill health of the artist, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

  2. In such cases, we will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and to reschedule where feasible. 

 

10. No-Show & Late Arrival Policy

  1. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice (“no-show”), you may be charged the full cost of the treatment and/or refused any further treatments. The regular deposit policy applies to any future bookings.

  2. If you arrive late, your treatment time may be shortened, your appointment may be cancelled and treated as a no-show at our discretion, and you may be charged from the original start time of your appointment.

 

11. Treatment Outcomes

  1. Results from treatments may vary between individuals. While we observe the highest professional standards, we cannot ever guarantee a specific outcome.

  2. Additional sessions may be required at extra cost to achieve or maintain desired results.

 

12. Intellectual Property, Photography & Social Media

  1. Any imagery, designs, or bespoke artwork provided by Debut Studios or individual artists remain the intellectual property of their creator(s) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  2. Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or sell such artwork or images without authorisation.

  3. Debut Studios may take photographs of the treatment area for record-keeping and marketing purposes. Images may be used on social media or our website unless you notify us in writing before your appointment that you do not consent.

 

13. Data Protection & Privacy

  1. We collect and store personal information necessary for providing services (name, contact details, medical history etc.). All data is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act.

  2. We will not share your personal data with third parties except where necessary for the service, legal compliance, or with your consent.

  3. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

 

14. Complaints & Disputes

  1. If you have any complaints about our service or Treatment, you must raise them in writing (email or letter) within 30 days of the appointment.

  2. We will aim to respond within 14 days of receipt of your complaint.

  3. Resolution may include rescheduling or other remedies at our discretion.

 

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of our services are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

 

16. Miscellaneous

  1. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

  2. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Debut Studios in respect of the services booked, superseding all prior agreements, understandings, or arrangements.

  3. No variation of these Terms shall be effective unless agreed in writing (including by email) by an authorised representative of Debut Studios.
